Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses the Service. You are responsible for all use of the Service under your account, including by anyone acting for your benefit.
1. Rules for automated data collection
- Public data only. Target only content that is publicly accessible without authentication. Do not use the Service to access pages behind logins, paywalls or other access controls unless you own the account being used and the target website's terms permit such automated access.
- Respect target-site rules. You must comply with the target website's terms of service where they are binding on you, and with all laws applicable to your collection and use of the data.
- No sensitive data collection. Do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (health, biometric, political, religious, sexual orientation, etc.), data about children, or data relating to criminal convictions.
- No harmful load. Do not configure request rates or volumes intended or likely to degrade a target website's operation. The Service enforces rate limits; circumventing them is prohibited.
- No circumvention of technical protection measures where doing so is unlawful in your jurisdiction.
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Service to:
- collect personal data for unsolicited marketing, people-search databases, surveillance, stalking, doxxing or discrimination;
- harvest e-mail addresses, phone numbers or social profiles for spam;
- collect or distribute content that infringes intellectual property rights, or republish substantial parts of a protected database or copyrighted works without authorisation;
- obtain credentials, payment card data, or other confidential information;
- access, store or distribute unlawful content, including child sexual abuse material or terrorist content;
- commit or facilitate fraud, including ad fraud, fake engagement, review manipulation, or ticket/inventory hoarding bots;
- distribute malware or conduct security attacks, including denial of service and unauthorised penetration testing of third parties;
- violate export control or sanctions law;
- mislead third parties into believing scraped output is an official source, or impersonate any person or organisation;
- resell raw access to the Service without our written agreement.
3. Platform integrity
- No multiple free accounts, trial farming, or quota circumvention.
- No probing, scanning or disrupting the Service itself, other customers' scrapers, or our infrastructure.
- No use of the Service to build a directly competing scraping service using our extraction technology.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, and may throttle, suspend or terminate access — without prior notice where the violation creates legal exposure, harms third parties, or threatens Service integrity. No credits are refunded for interruptions caused by a violation. We cooperate with competent authorities and lawful orders. Report abuse to team@scrapefleet.ai.
5. Changes
We may update this AUP as the Service and legal landscape evolve; material changes are announced as described in the Terms.
